What a monumental May
We kicked off the month with some good news that ELIQUO HYDROK has been shortlisted for four awards spanning local, national and industry recognition. It’s a reflection of the outstanding work our teams are delivering every day and the impact that work is having across the water, wastewater and now renewable energy sectors.
Flying the flag in Cornwall
Starting at home, we’re proud to be shortlisted fort the Rewind Radio Business Awards for Cornish Business of the Year and Growth Business of the Year. As we celebrate 30 years in business this year, this recognition is especially meaningful. We’re proud of our Cornish roots, and of how the business has grown from those foundations to make an impact well beyond the county. These awards celebrate the strength, resilience and ambition of the local business community, and we’re pleased to be right in the mix.
National recognition for circular thinking
On a national stage, we’ve been shortlisted for the Circular Economy Award at the British Renewable Energy Awards 2026.
This recognition reflects our continued focus on solutions that recover value from wastewater in practical, measurable ways. Through our ELOVAC product, we capture methane from digested sludge that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere, putting it to beneficial use instead. Given that methane is significantly more potent than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas, this has clear environmental value. The process also enables the generation of struvite crystals, helping to prevent scaling in pipes and equipment, improve plant efficiency and reduce maintenance downtime. As an added benefit, the recovered struvite is in a bioavailable form that can be used as a fertiliser. By changing the physical properties of the sludge, ELOVAC also improves dewaterability, reducing polymer demand at the dewatering stage and supporting a more efficient overall treatment process.
The awards take place on Thursday 11 June 2026 at the Sheraton Grand, Park Lane in London, as part of the Renewable Energy Association’s 25th anniversary celebrations. It’s always a standout event in the calendar, and this year promises to be no different.
Industry acknowledgement in biogas
Finally, we’ve been shortlisted for Net Zero Circular Solution of the Year at the Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Industry Awards 2026. This nomination recognises the contribution our team continues to make to advancing biogas solutions, both in the UK and internationally. Through ELOVAC®, we’re helping anaerobic digestion plants move closer to a genuinely closed-loop model by recovering and reintegrating resources that would otherwise be lost during sludge handling. In doing so, the technology supports more efficient plant operation while reducing waste and creating additional value from the treatment process.
Of the nominations, Sales & Business Development Director, William Mackveley says:
“It’s incredibly encouraging to see our work recognised at every level — locally in Cornwall, nationally across the UK, and within our industries. That breadth of recognition reflects not only how far we’ve come, but also our ambition to be the long-term partner of choice for customers, helping them move forward on their pathway to more sustainable, efficient and resilient operations.”
Looking ahead
We’re looking forward to celebrating with peers across all three events:
- Rewind Radio Business Awards – 22 May 2026, St Ives
- British Renewable Energy Awards – 11 June 2026, London
- AD and Biogas Industry Awards – 8 July 2026, Birmingham
For now, we’ll take a moment to recognise our people behind the work and then get back to it. There’s plenty more to do!
