Welder Fabricator

Location: Tavistock, Devon, UK

Due to continued expansion Eliquo Hydrok Ltd are currently seeking  welder/fabricators at our manufacturing facility in Launceston.

We are an established provider of waste water treatment technologies to the UK water industry; clients include the eleven UK water utilities.

The successful candidate shall work within the fabrication department, reporting to our Fabrication workshop manager
Your duties and responsibilities will vary but include:

Main Duties:

  • Fabrication of medium to large products of up to 5 tonnes
  • Bench work as and when required

Essential requirements:

  • Experience with stainless steel MIG and TIG welding
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to develop patterns

Desirable:

  • Completed an apprenticeship is this trade
  • Own Hand Tools
  • MMA welding experience
  • EN287 and ASME IX

Selected applicants will be required to attend an interview and carry out a supervised weld/task test.

We have 4 permanent positions available.

Usual working hours are 8:00 to 17:15 Mon-Thur and Fri 8:00 to 13:00 with excellent holiday provisions.

Project Manager

Location: Head Office, Indian Queens, Cornwall

Eliquo Hydrok are currently seeking a project Manager to join a busy team within their offices based in the South West of England.

We are an established market leader in the provision of Waste Water Treatment technologies and solutions to the UK water industry; clients include the 11 UK Water Companies.

Ideal candidates will have qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and experience in the total management, coordination and delivery of projects. The successful candidate shall work closely with the technical team to progress a scheme from order placement, through design approvals, manufacturing and procurement, delivery, logistics, site installation, commissioning and scheme handover. Experience in the control of project programme, delivery period and cost shall be essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the delivery of multiple simultaneous projects nationally
  • Coordinating with procurement, design, production and installation departments, plus regional staff to ensure efficient project progress according to programme
  • Developing and maintaining key client relationships specific to each project.
  • Assisting the tendering team in the development of proposals/solutions to client requirements and tender opportunities.
  • Attendance at project meetings – Pre-let, HAZOP, project progress etc, on site or client's offices as required

Experience within the UK municipal water industry would be highly advantageous, as would experience in a manufacturing environment and competency in the use of AutoCAD – although not essential. 

Usual working hours are 8:30 to 17:00 mon-fri, with excellent holiday provisions. Contracts Manager

Location: Head Office, Indian Queens, Cornwall

Due to sustained growth at Eliquo Hydrok, we are seeking to recruit for the exciting new position of Contracts Manager, based at our head offices in Cornwall.

Eliquo Hydrok is a major supplier of water treatment plant to the UK’s water companies, manufacturing a wide variety of plant and equipment at our factories in Indian Queens, Cornwall and Tavistock, Devon, along with our installation depot in Wombwell, Yorkshire.

Reporting directly to the Technical Director, the Contracts Manager will be responsible for leading the projects delivery team - including project managers, project engineers and supply chain. Key duties include;

  • Management of project teams, staff management, organisation and delegation of projects between managers.
  • Ensuring project teams are supported in order to deliver projects on programme and budget.
  • Promote the appropriate training and CPD of the project team members
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all contractual requirements and obligations across projects, in order to prioritise project resources and ensure optimum scheme deliveries.
  • Collaborate with sales & tendering to ensure Contracts in negotiation are in-line with typical contract risk profile.
  • Representing the Company at batch and/or client level multi-project meetings as required.
  • Working together with sales, technical and production disciplines to help ensure consistency of delivery.
  • Act as a project manager for a small number of schemes when essential.

As a member of the managerial team, the Contracts Manager will be responsible for the routine collation of project-related metrics from the wider projects team and for the monthly reports to the board on;

  • Total no. and value of projects open.
  • Forecast cost to complete on each project and deviation (+/- %) from budget.
  • Risk assessment of exposure to damages/penalties/damages.
  • opportunities assessment of significant savings/efficiencies.

Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of project management within the water industry and will have demonstrable knowledge of NEC forms of contract. Experience in people management will be essential and is a thorough competency with Microsoft office suite software including MS Project. Experience in formal management processes and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable, as is experience in the use and implementation of ERP systems.

Supply Chain Manager

Location: Head Office, Indian Queens, Cornwall

Eliquo Hydrok Ltd are currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join a busy team within their Head office based in Cornwall. 

We are an established provider of waste water treatment technologies to the UK water industry; clients include the eleven UK water utilities. 

This is an opportunity for a new member to join the team within a market leading engineering company operating within the water industry. 

Working together with our tendering and projects delivery teams, the successful candidate will be required to build upon and develop relationships with our established international supply chain of M&E equipment. Principal responsibilities will include; 

  • working with tendering, project delivery, logistics managers and accounts depts. 
  • issuing of tenders to multiple competing suppliers 
  • securing best commercial advantage offers and leveraging our wider programme buying power. 
  • negotiating long term supply partnerships 
  • conducting supplier performance monitoring 
  • placing purchase orders and subcontract orders 

Ideal candidates will have experience in a procurement environment, for mechanical and electrical equipment, standard and bespoke. Experience in a water and wastewater engineering environment would be highly advantageous but not essential. Good communication and computer literacy skills are essential.

Electrical Engineer/Electrician

Location: Head Office, Indian Queens, Cornwall

The successful candidate shall work within the electrical department, reporting to the Electrical supervisor your duties and responsibilities will vary but include:

Panel building and bespoke equipment electrical fit outs at our manufacturing facility.

Carry out electrical installation and commissioning activities on-site throughout the UK and Ireland, enhanced hourly rate would apply dependant on experience.

  • The Successful candidate will have served a recognised City and Guilds Electrical Apprenticeship.
  • 17th edition certification.
  • Competent in understanding/reading electrical drawings.
  • Experience with panel building.
  • Be able to work on your own or as part of a team
  • Be able to communicate well at all levels
  • Hold a full UK driving license.

 Experience in the water industry and manufacturing industries would be highly advantageous.

 Other desirable qualifications (but not essential)

  • CSCS card.
  • Confined Space.
  • First Aid at work.
  • CompEx.

Usual working hours are 8:00 to 17:15 Mon-Thur and Fri 8:00 to 13:00 with excellent holiday provisions. The position will require travel nationally when required to complete installation and commissioning activities.

Mechanical Installers/Supervisors needed in Yorkshire

Location: Wombwell, Barnsley, Yorkshire, United Kingdom

Due to continued expansion Eliquo Hydrok Ltd are currently seeking a mechanical installer from our depot in Wombwell, Barnsley.

 We are an established provider of waste water treatment technologies to the UK water industry; clients include the eleven UK water utilities.

The successful candidate shall work within the installation department, reporting to our fitting supervisors, Area Manager and Operations Manager.

Your duties and responsibilities will vary but include carrying out mechanical installation activities on-site as part of an installation team throughout the UK and Ireland.

The successful candidate will: 

  • Have a good all round mechanical background.
  • Competent in understanding/reading engineering drawings.
  • Experience with working on construction sites.
  • Be able to work on your own, or as part of a team
  • Be able to communicate well at all levels
  • Hold a full UK driving license.

Experience in the water industry and manufacturing industries would be highly advantageous.

Other desirable qualifications (but not essential):

  • CSCS card.
  • Confined Space.
  • CPCS Slinger signaller.
  • CPCS Lift Supervisor.
