As a key-worker industry we design, manufacture, engineer and install surface water, wastewater and drinking water solutions, from flood management products through to large scale sewage treatment tanks and filtration. We are the exclusive UK distributor for a number of leading European specialist manufacturers within the water industry and we work closely with our 100% shareholder ELIQUO WATER Group based in Germany, particularly to develop products to support Net Zero Carbon.

Our established team of 120 people are crucial in our quality and performance and we have a good track record of career progression. We are recruiting roles at all levels, including apprentices and kickstart placements, to support our advanced growth plans, most of which are based at our Head Office and factory at Indian Queens, North Cornwall. These roles would suit candidates already in Cornwall or someone wishing to move to one of the most sought-after places to live in the UK.

HPS Project Engineer

Location: IQ, WW or Wolverhampton
Department: Hire, Parts & Service (HPS)
Reports to: HPS Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled HPS Project Engineer to join our growing Hire, Parts & Service (HPS) team. This is a key role where you will lead non-standard HPS projects across the UK, ensuring exceptional customer service while driving business growth and opportunity maximisation.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing complex projects, supporting both planned and reactive work, and delivering successful outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits with HPS Manager when required to assess complex and non-standard work requirements.
  • Upselling & Business Promotion: Identify upselling opportunities and actively promote the HPS business to current and potential clients.
  • Enquiry Management: Manage allocated enquiries and leads, ensuring timely and effective responses.
  • Customer Presentations & Proposals: Deliver presentations and prepare detailed technical quotations tailored to client needs.
  • Project Planning & Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and supervise projects to ensure they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Risk Assessments & Method Statements: Develop and produce comprehensive RAMS for each project.
  • Reporting: Regularly report project progress, outcomes, and any concerns to both clients and internal management.
  • KPI & Budget Achievement: Strive to meet KPIs, project budgets, and operational targets.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the wider team to ensure seamless project execution and service delivery.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure adherence to all relevant Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards (QHSE).

Required Skills & Attributes:

  • A Mechanical Engineering qualification
  • Project Management experience is desirable
  • Strong leadership and project coordination abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in preparing technical documentation such as quotations and RAMS.
  • Focus on providing outstanding customer service and satisfaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Business Development Manager for Biosolid Technologies

As an established provider of wastewater treatment technologies to the UK water industry, the successful candidate will work within the Biosolids team, including Engineering. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in growing and shaping our biosolids business, especially the ELOVAC®  Technology.

Reporting directly to Senior Management, you will be crucial in product management, market development, and strategic clients.

Key duties and responsibilities in this role include:

  • Expand Biosolids product portfolio - develop and execute business strategies to expand our biosolids product portfolio and market presence in the UK
  • Drive Sales - drive and execute technical sales within the UK municipal market.
  • Product Expert - act as a product expert, identifying customer needs and aligning solutions to meet market demands
  • Identify Growth Opportunities - monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to identify growth opportunities
  • Team Collaboration - collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective project delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Represent ELIQUO HYDROK - at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote our biosolids expertise
  • Lead the preparation and submission of proposals and tenders, supported by the Tendering team, ensuring they address client requirements effectively, whilst maximising price and commercial benefits for the Company.

Essential requirements to succeed in this role

  • Proven experience in business development, sales or product management within the water or environmental sector
  • Technical expertise in wastewater treatment or biosolids processes
  • Experience managing projects or sales cycles involving capital equipment or engineered solutions.
  • A network of contacts within the UK water/waste water industry.
  • Regular travel within the UK and Ireland is required. Visits to Head Office (Cornwall) are expected every three months on a rolling basis.
  • Submit a weekly sales contact plan to the Head of Sales, including results from the prior week’s sales contact plan.
  • Submit monthly performance metrics to the Head of Sales.
