This newly created role will develop and implement marketing and communications activities that support ELIQUOs business objectives across Europe and enhance the reputation of the company as an industry leader.

Working closely with the senior management this role will advise, steer and coordinate wider internal and external marketing & communications initiatives across the group.

Through compelling storytelling and the development of creative content this role will engage different target groups across various channels. With a multi-stakeholder approach this role will develop and execute internal and external communication activities and develop innovative tools in collaboration with local and regional colleagues. Employer branding in particular will be an important focus area.

Education / experience

  • BSc. (LEVEL) IN MARKETING OR COMMUNICATIONS-RELATED FIELD
  • STRONG WRITING AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN GERMAN AND ENGLISH
  • COPYWRITING EXPERIENCE FOR A VARIETY OF AUDIENCES AND CHANNELS

Bid Manager

Location: Indian Queens, Cornwall, United Kingdom

 

Due to sustained growth at Eliquo Hydrok, we are seeking to recruit for the exciting new position of Bid Manager, based at our head offices in Cornwall.

Eliquo Hydrok is a major supplier of water treatment M&E plant to the UK’s water companies, manufacturing a wide variety of plant and equipment at our factories in Indian Queens, Cornwall and Tavistock, Devon, along with our installation depot in Wombwell, Yorkshire.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Bid Manager will be responsible for leading the tendering team. Key duties include:

  • Manage the preparation of multiple tenders for schemes typically ranging from £0-£1m and up to £10m.
  • Manage workloads on engineers, assistant and administrator accordingly.
  • Develop a sound working knowledge of the company's technologies offered.
  • Promote the appropriate training and CPD of the tendering team members
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all contractual requirements and obligations across tenders and negotiate contracts in line with acceptable risk profile.
  • Review NEC contracts (both in receipt and to let) for acceptability.
  • Collaborate with projects dept. to ensure contracts in negotiation are in-line with typical contract risk profile.
  • Support the Supply Chain Manager in contract preparation to suppliers.
  • Representing the Company at project meetings as required.
  • Working together with projects, technical and production disciplines to help ensure consistency of delivery.
  • Ensure project budgets are clearly disseminated to the projects dept and appropriately broken down.
  • Act as a project manager for a small number of schemes when essential, pending handover of awarded schemes to the projects dept.

The Bid Manager will be responsible for the routine collation of tender-related metrics for the monthly reports to the Sales Manager and in turn the Board on;

  • Value and composition (by product type, customer) of tenders issued.
  • Value of order intake.
  • Assessment of win ratios

SUBHEADLINE

Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of tendering / project cost control management within the water industry and will have demonstrable knowledge of NEC forms of contract. Experience in people management will be essential and is a thorough competency with Microsoft office suite software. Experience in formal management processes and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable, as is experience in the use and implementation of ERP systems.

Usual working hours are 8:30 to 17:00 Mon - Friday, with an attractive remuneration package appropriate to experience, use of company vehicles for business travel and excellent holiday provisions. Commissioning Engineer

Location: Flexible - with regular travel throughout the UK and Ireland

 

Due to continued expansion Eliquo Hydrok Ltd are now seeking to recruit a Commissioning Engineer to further strengthen our team. This role is for a skilled, focused and highly motivated Commissioning Engineer to join the M&E team and deliver the commissioning activities of projects throughout the UK and Ireland.

We are an established provider of waste water treatment technologies to the UK water industry; clients include the eleven UK water utilities.

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will bring demonstrable commissioning experience and practical skills to the team. Working closely with the Departmental Managers, you will ensure that all commissioning activities are executed to meet the project requirements in a safe and cost effective manner.

You will lead the commissioning activities, within the agreed constraints of time, quality and cost, whilst maintaining the relationships with the client’s operational staff and an excellent Health Safety and Environmental performance. You will ensure customer satisfaction and quality is achieved at, all times.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • An industry applicable ONC or City & Guilds / NVQ equivalent
  • Must hold a current CSCS/ECS Card
  • Competent in understanding/reading engineering drawings.
  • Be able, to work on your own, or as part of a team
  • Hold a full UK driving license.
  • Lead the site commissioning phase on sites covering the UK and Ireland.
  • Develop relationships with the client to ensure a smooth delivery and handover
  • Responsible for providing the relevant Departmental Managers with progress updates and raise concerns where necessary.
  • Ensure the commissioning is to the appropriate levels of quality and to standards and manufacturers best practice.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the company.
  • Assist the production of commissioning plans, inspection test plans and training manuals.
  • Attendance at commissioning meetings with representatives from our clients.
  • Undertaking Factory Acceptance Testing for major items of plant produced by our Supply Chain.
  • The commissioning, interfacing and setting to work of equipment.
  • Undertake or supervise the NICEIC electrical installation testing to C&G 2391 as requested.
  • Demonstration of commissioned plant to our client’s representatives to gain plant sign off prior to takeover.
  • Undertaking client training covering both operational and technical competencies.
  • Completion of commissioning records ensuring that all progress and equipment settings are recorded to include within the O&M Manuals.
  • Assist the design team by undertaking site visits to gather information for the purposes of tendering or design prior to construction.

Desirable Criteria:

  • WIMES Standards familiarisation
  • Experience of working within the Utilities Industry

  • Understanding of PLC/SCADA systems

Your duties and responsibilities will vary but include carrying out mechanical installation activities on-site as part of an installation team throughout the UK and Ireland and when not on-site, mechanical fit outs of bespoke products at our manufacturing facility in Cornwall.

The successful candidate shall work within the installation department, reporting to our Installation team supervisors and Operations Manager.

he successful candidate will:

  • Have a good all round mechanical background.
  • Must hold current CSCS Card
  • Competent in understanding/reading engineering drawings.
  • Experience with working on construction sites.
  • Be able to work on your own, or as part of a team
  • Be able to communicate well at all levels
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Be prepared to work all around the UK

Experience in the water industry and manufacturing industries would be highly advantageous.

Drawing Office Manager

Location: Head Office, Indian Queens, Cornwall

 

Due to continued business growth, Eliquo Hydrok are pleased to offer the position of Drawing Office Manager.

Eliquo Hydrok is a major supplier of water treatment plant to the UK’s water companies, manufacturing a wide variety of plant and equipment at our factories in Indian Queens, Cornwall and Tavistock, Devon. Reporting to the Management team, the Drawing Office Manager’s principle duties shall include;

  • Staff management, organisation and delegation of projects between draughtsmen and pre-production engineers, in recognition of differing skill sets.
  • Provide guidance on design, production methods and use of software (primarily Autodesk AutoCAD).
  • Promote the appropriate training and CPD of the drawing office team members.
  • Monitoring and upholding the standards of drawing work produced, covering proposals, detailed designs and production drawings.
  • Ensuring suitable time is both allocated to and taken by drawing office team members for tasks.
  • Ensuring Drawing Office team members are aware of scheme specific design and budget constraints.
  • Act as a designer and/or draughtsman on schemes as required.

Reporting to the managerial team, the Drawing Office Manager will be responsible for the routine collation of department related metrics for monthly reports on;

  • Forecast of future Drawing Office workload
  • Forecast of Drawing Office resource requirements
  • Opportunities assessment of significant savings/efficiencies.

Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of design management within a busy engineering design environment and will have demonstrable experience in 2D and 3D design/drawing work. A high level of experience with AutoDesk AutoCAD is essential, experience with Solidworks, BySoft, Navisworks and AutoDesk Plant 3D is also beneficial but not essential, as is experience in the use and implementation of ERP systems. Experience in people management will be essential as is a thorough competency with Microsoft office suite software.

Welder Fabricator

We are an established provider of waste water treatment technologies to the UK water industry; clients include the eleven UK water utilities.

The successful candidate shall work within the fabrication department, reporting to our Fabrication workshop manager

Your duties and responsibilities will vary but include:

Main Duties:

  • Fabrication of medium to large products of up to 5 tonnes
  • Bench work as and when required

Essential requirements:

  • Experience with stainless steel MIG and TIG welding
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to develop patterns

Desirable:

  • Completed an apprenticeship is this trade
  • Own Hand Tools
  • MMA welding experience
  • EN287 and ASME IX

Selected applicants will be required to attend an interview and carry out a supervised weld/task test.

Panel building and bespoke equipment electrical fit outs at our manufacturing facility.

Carry out electrical installation and commissioning activities on-site throughout the UK and Ireland, enhanced hourly rate would apply dependant on experience.

  • The Successful candidate will have served a recognised City and Guilds Electrical Apprenticeship.
  • 17th edition certification.
  • Competent in understanding/reading electrical drawings.
  • Experience with panel building.
  • Be able to work on your own or as part of a team
  • Be able to communicate well at all levels
  • Hold a full UK driving license.

Experience in the water industry and manufacturing industries would be highly advantageous.
